He got deeply engaged in meditation.Devimataji and Shaktimataji went to their heavenly abode in Benaras after which Shri Tarapranab Brahmachariji came to Kolkata along with Pranabananda Pitaji Maharaj who founded Matrikashram.
Shri Tarapranab had his initial lessons in music from his mother Bhagabati Devi who had love for music. Later on he got talim (lessons) from different gurus (teachers) both in Benaras and in Kolkata. He always considered music as a major inspiration in his life. Tarapranab had mellifluent voice and a penchant to master the different intricacies of Indian vocal music rapidly. He was closely associated with reputed composer such as Rabindranath Tagore, Atulprosad Sen, Kaji Nazurl Islam and many others. While in Kolkata, Tarapranab Brahmachariji began writing his experiences and soon became a famous name in the literary world. He came in contact with many prominent literary personalities.Through his literary creation he conveyed the results of his spiritual accomplishments and also different aspects of human life.Shri Tarapranab Brahmachariji went abroad several times. Humanity and places of historical importance were his interest.
His health broke down towards the end of the year 2004. However, he continued with his writings and other activities. He started his book ‘Ashmanjamin’ while at Matrikasram, but later completed it from the hospital. He was hospitalized for severe health issues. Finally, at the break of dawn of a December night Shri Tarapranab Brahmachari left for his heavenly abode.
